    Alzheimer’s disease diagnosis and management are poised for great change. The advent of blood-based biomarkers heralds a new era in Alzheimer’s disease diagnosis and has implications for the role of primary care. Additionally, disease-modifying medication for Alzheimer’s disease has recently been approved for use in Australia. 

    Join our expert speakers, Drs Hilton Koppe and Rebecca Moore from Dementia Training Australia, for an essential webinar designed to discuss these exciting new developments, with particular focus on their relevance to general practice.

    Dr Hilton Koppe
    Dr Hilton Koppe

    Hilton Koppe is a writer, educator, podcaster and doctor living on Bundjalung Land on the east coast of Australia. He is a long-standing member of Dementia Training Australia’s GP education team.

    Hilton facilitates reflective writing workshops for doctors and other health professionals with the goal of deepening their compassion, overcoming professional isolation and reducing risk of burnout. The workshops have been adapted for people living with chronic and mental illnesses, as well as enthusiastic amateur writers. Hilton has been invited to present his workshops all the way from Byron Writers Festival to Harvard Medical School.

    Dr Rebecca Moore

    Dr Rebecca Moore graduated from the University of Adelaide and completed her RACGP fellowship whist working as an Aviation Medical Officer in the RAAF. She has worked in General Practice and urgent care in the UK and Australia and now fosters a special interest in geriatric medicine. She completed a Masters degree in dementia in 2024.
