GPs play an important role in the early identification, evaluation and monitoring of patients with rarer liver diseases. This module will provide an overview of the rarer liver diseases and highlight the red flags that indicate urgent specialist review or hospitalisation.
On completion of this education activity participants will be able to:- Understand the characteristics of rarer liver diseases
- Identify patients with suspected liver disease early in the disease process
- Ensure timely referral of patients with suspected rarer liver diseases
- Manage patients with rarer liver diseases as part of the multidisciplinary team
