Mild cognitive impairment (MCI) is an increasingly prevalent condition in Australia, and GPs can play a key role in its identification and management through early diagnosis and action. This module explores how to identify risk factors and make a diagnosis of MCI, and outlines the effective development of treatment plans for MCI in primary care.

This module explores the assessment of BPSD using the ABC (antecedent, behaviour, consequence) model, and discusses the management of BPSD using pharmacological and non-pharmacological methods as well as the management of comorbid conditions associated with dementia.
