This education module focuses on a case study of an uncomplicated patient with type 2 diabetes, and the process of intensifying to first injectable therapy. Expert video commentary throughout the module helps step the participant through the decision cycle from the ADA/EASD consensus guidelines for T2D. This module also includes Australian recommendations for patients fasting during Ramadan.
This module looks at the symptoms and management of common causes of vision loss and common eye conditions. Participants will learn how to ensure patient safety and eye health by identifying those at risk and by appropriately referring to an optometrist or ophthalmologist. The module includes targeted information about eye health in specific patient groups, including elderly patients and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, refugee, and CALD populations.
This 2-hour module provides a practical approach to the diagnosis and management of dementia. The module explores the three stages of dementia, and the goals of care for each stage, through interactive case studies and video content. Participants will learn how to diagnose dementia in the general practice setting and how to develop and implement effective management plans.
This module uses several case studies as a platform to discuss topics such as identifying patients at risk of CKD, diabetic kidney disease and heavy proteinuria.
