Pain is a universal experience that adversely affects the quality of life of those who suffer from it. The alleviation of pain is one of the major roles of general practitioners. This activity has been brought to you with the assistance of an educational grant from Pfizer Australia. The learning objectives for this activity are to:

- state the possible causes of neuropathic pain
- diagnose and assess neuropathic pain
- indicate appropriate management of neuropathic pain using an evidence based approach
