Mental Health Skills Training - ALM |

This course is accredited by the General Practice Mental Health Standards Collaboration (GPMHSC) as a Mental Health Skills Training (MHST) program. Update and enhance your diagnosis and management of 6 key mental health areas handled in General Practice.
At the completion of this learning activity, the participant should be able to
- State the key diagnostic features of the commonly encountered disorder groups namely; anxiety, depression, substance abuse, psychosis, schizophrenia and bipolar disorder
- Discuss the key management features of the commonly encountered disorder groups namely; anxiety, depression, substance abuse, psychosis, schizophrenia and bipolar disorder
- Recall the important co morbidities in those mental disorders commonly encountered in general practice
- Indicate a system to involve a team approach to mental health including a care plan and practice system of review
- Ensure the early identification of serious at risk behaviour in patients with mental health issues
